Dr Anik Shawdon, MBBS, FACSP
Anik has been a SPORTS AND EXERCISE PHYSICIAN (MBBS, FACSP) for over 14 years, and in addition to her current practice at the Victorian Institute of Sports and Physiosports Brighton, she has worked with a number of sporting teams and at various major sporting events. These include currently working as Club Medical Officer for Melbourne Victory Football Club, Tournament Physician at the Australian Open Tennis, Chief Medical Officer for Badminton Australia, as well as talent pathway medical officer for the Australian Football League (AFL).
Previous experience includes Chief Medical Officer for the FINA World Championships and World Masters Game and Deputy Chief Medical Officer for the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
Other previous team experience includes doctor for the Women's Australian U21 Basketball team, National League Basketball teams, U21 Victorian netball team, and the Port Melbourne Football club.
