Hand Therapy

Hand Therapists specialise in the treatment of all types of injuries and conditions of the hand and upper extremity. This includes fractures of the hand and wrist, tendon and nerve injuries, overuse injuries and more chronic conditions such as arthritis.

Hand therapy may involve condition diagnosis, specialised education, provision of splints, individualised home exercise programs, activity modification and / or strengthening regimes.

The hand therapy service can also fabricate splints or guards to assist with the prevention of sporting related hand injuries.
