Specialist Sports Physiotherapy

A Specialist Sports Physiotherapist has completed advanced training in the treatment and management strategies of sporting injuries, and is a fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapy.

Our Specialists are primary contact practitioners and do not require a medical referral. Your contact with the Specialist may be for a one-off second opinion or involve ongoing care. As necessary, communication will be made with previous care providers to ensure a united approach to your injury management.

A Sports Specialist Physiotherapist’s role is to provide an expert opinion for recalcitrant injuries that fail to respond to standard management. Following a one hour consultation with one of our Specialist Sports Physiotherapists, you can expect to understand the nature of your injury or steps required to fulfill the diagnosis.

By taking into account previous treatment strategies; a management approach and treatment options will be advised, and additional or alternative directions recommended.

When attending a Specialist Consultation, the more information you can provide the better the outcome for you. Please bring along all relevant scans, reports and sporting shoes/equipment.
